But that summer FDR and his wife Eleanor (Olivia Williams) host the royals at their home in Hyde Park on Hudson, an estate in upstate New York. But the weekend gets a little out of hand as his loved ones conspire to make it a memorable one.

The visit is narrated by Franklin’s distant cousin and cherished friend Daisy, played by Laura Linney. Through her eyes, the audience learns more than the toils of diplomacy and gets to the heart of love and friendship.

“Hyde Park on Hudson” opens in theaters on December 7.

Usher has a confession to make. He really loves Adele, even if she’s threatening his position as an album-sales record holder.

“If I have to confess, I have to confess that I have told a few people not to go and buy Adele’s album because I don’t want her to go and break my record,” he joked to Capital FM in the U.K. The 21 singer’s record-setting album has come close to beating the record held by his own album Confessions for most albums sold in one year.

“No, actually, I love her. Unfortunately, she’s the closest to breaking my record for the last 10 years. So now, guys, don’t go and buy that album right now.”

But if he can’t beat her, he’ll join her. He hinted in the same interview that he would love the chance to collaborate with the broken-hearted songstress. “I think the world deserves an Usher and Adele record,” he said. “That’s what I think.”

Well, Usher will get his chance to prove his chart dominance once again when he drops his new album later this year. He’s currently out promoting its lead single, the sexy, sultry, Diplo-produced “Climax.”

The singer released a video for the track earlier this month. The sexy clip follows two lovers engaged in a hot, steamy love affair. Usher wrestles with the ramifications of their relationship, pondering it all in his car, with a gun not far away.

Leading to the video’s climax, Usher watches his lady with her other man, then runs in the house, fires off his gun and runs away. Viewers are left wondering if it was nothing more than a daydream as the video ends with the singer once again sitting in his car, still reflecting, as he pulls away from the supposed crime scene.

Mac Miller Makes It The Best Day Ever At Bamboozle

ASBURY PARK, New Jersey ? There’s only so much partying on Fifth Ave. that a man can do, so on Friday night, Mac Miller hit the Jersey Shore and threw an old-fashioned beach party.

“I’m just tryin’ to bring a show, man. I want to bring a performance, I want to bring them into the Macadelic experience,” Mac told MTV News hours before he took the stage at the Bamboozle music festival in New Jersey.

Skrillex, Mike Posner, Incubus and Miller all took to Bamboozle’s main stage on the opening night of the three-day fest, and they didn’t disappoint. For Mac’s set, which began at 7 p.m. ET, the Pittsburgh MC brought a portion of his Macadelic Tour to concertgoers who had come to see an array of rock, rap and EDM artists.

It was all high-energy when Miller, who was dressed in an “RIP MCA” tee, set things off with the title track from his #1 debut album, Blue Slide Park. From there, EZ Mac launched into “Don’t Mind If I Do” from his 2010 breakout tape, K.I.D.S. Always one to represent for his crew, Miller, his DJ, Clockwork, and hypeman Treejay bounced up and down to “My Team,” and then turned things up a notch with the rambunctious “Knock Knock,” all to the youthful crowd’s delight.

While a majority of the Rostrum rapper’s catalog is centered on feel-good jams, he does show range on introspective cuts like “Angels (When She Shuts Her Eyes).” Even when he wasn’t ping-ponging frantically across the stage, the crowd responded to Miller’s more subdued tracks by waving their hands side to side, showing him that they too are capable of more than just getting crunk.

Before he dove into “Best Day Ever,” Mac took a bit of a breather while old Miller family home movies played on a big screen. All the teenage girls cooed as they watched baby Mac open birthday presents and sing along to the Sugar Hill Gang’s seminal hip-hop track “Rapper’s Delight.”

“I wanted to represent the music through visuals, I’ve always been a very visual person,” he explained to us before the show. “I wanted to use that to create the aesthetics of the show and show people what all of the songs mean to me and put them into that world.”

Miller picked up the mood with the electric “Frick Park Market” and drew immediate crowd participation with the first line. After spitting, “My name Mac Miller,” the crowd responded right on time with a thunderous, “Who the f— are you?”

It was a lesson on how to properly connect with your audience, one that’s invested in every word you rhyme. Last year when Miller dropped his now-gold-selling single “Donald Trump,” he promised to “take over the world,” and despite all of his success he still makes that vow at the end of each and every show. Last night was no different. After a 40-minute set, Mac sealed the deal with a spirited rendition of “Trump” and then marched off to continue to make good on his promise, one stage at a time.

‘Hunger Games’ Soundtrack Tops Billboard Album Chart

After its $155 million box-office opening, “The Hunger Games” pulled off the rare double-play by landing its soundtrack at the top of the Billboard 200 charts in the same week. “The Hunger Games: Songs from District 12 and Beyond,” sold 175,000 last week, according to figures provided by Nielsen SoundScan.

The compilation, which features songs by Taylor Swift with the Civil Wars, as well as tunes by Maroon 5, the Decemberists, Miranda Lambert, Arcade Fire and Kid Cudi, sold just enough copies to once again keep Adele at #2, where her tenacious 21 sold another 130,000 copies.

After a five-year hiatus, the Shins returned with their fourth studio album, Port of Morrow, which landed at #3 (74,000), while rowdy hip-hop collective Odd Future debuted at #5 with OF Tape, Vol. 2. The other two new faces in the top 10 were singer Melanie Fiona with My Life (#7, 34,000) and 2011 Best New Artist Grammy winner Esperanza Spalding‘s Radio Music Society (#10, 25,000).

British boy band One Direction fell to #4 as sales of their debut, Up All Night, dropped by 69 percent to 55,000. Bruce Springsteen dipped two spots to #6 with Wrecking Ball (37,000), NOW 41 hung around at #8 (31,000) and Whitney Houston‘s Greatest Hits sold another 28,000 while moving down a few notches to #9.

Second-generation hip-hop royalty Diggy entered the charts at #13 with Unexpected Arrival (21,000), easy-on-the-eyes “American Idol” third-place finisher Casey James released his self-titled label bow, landing at #23 (14,000) and Woodie-winning MC Machine Gun Kelly snuck into the top 50 at #46 with is Half Naked & Almost Famous EP (9,000).
